About recovery of Exchange databases

If you need to recover an Exchange database, you can restore it to a repaired Exchange server or to an alternate Exchange server. For instructions on performing a diaster recovery of an Exchange server, see Table: Disaster recovery resources.

Extract mailbox or public folder data to the server.
