Creating a ServiceNow Application
The administrator of your organization must perform the following steps:
- Log in to ServiceNow instance and navigate to System OAuth > Application Registry.
- Click the Application Registry and the applications list will open. Click New.
- Select the Create an OAuth API endpoint for external clients option.
- Enter a name for the application.
- Unlock the Redirect_URI field and enter the URL of your local environment and click the Submit button.
Note:
The Redirect URI can be found in the Click information of the collector source configuration.
- After executing the provided steps, on the Application Registry page you will find the application you have just created.
Click your application, and in the opened window, you will find your application details, including Client ID and Client Secret. Copy and save the Client ID and Secret to later provide them to Arctera Insight Capture as part of ServiceNow configuration.
