Veritas eDiscovery Platform Release Notes
Support for configuring SAML 2.0 based authentication with trusted Identity Provider
Before eDP 9.5.2 release, the eDiscovery Platform was supporting the following enterprise-authentication mechanisms:
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA)
Header-based Authentication
From 9.5.2 Release onwards, the eDiscovery Platform supports a new way for enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication mechanism known as Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0, which is compliant to Identity Provider (IdP).
With SAML protocol, an Identity Provider (IdP) authenticates users and provides the authenticated user identity information to a Service Provider (SP). The IdP authenticates the users once and then allows access to multiple applications and services without additional sign in.
