IMF awareness
The Mount agent is IMF-aware and uses Asynchronous Monitoring Framework (AMF) kernel driver for IMF notification. For more information about IMF and intelligent resource monitoring, refer to the Cluster Server Administrator's Guide.
Note:
IMF for mounts is supported for VxFS, ext4, XFS, and NFS file system types. In case of NFS, when an NFS file system is mounted and the corresponding mount resource comes online, an AMF notification is sent. This notification is not sent on RHEL 8.4 and later versions, RHEL 9, and SLES15 SP4 systems. Eventually, the monitor function of the Mount agent detects the state change of the NFS file system.
For more information about IMF-related Mount agent functions, see Agent functions for Mount agent.
For more information about using the Mount agent with IMF, see IMF usage notes.
