Adding the disk space of an Expansion Storage Shelf from the Access Appliance shell menu
You cannot scan the storage after connecting a storage shelf if the cluster is not configured. During the cluster configuration, the storage is automatically scanned and you can view the disk space in the Access Appliance UI. If you add a storage shelf after the cluster is configured, run the system storage-scan command from the Appliance shell menu to detect and add the disk space. Ensure that you execute the command on each node of cluster one after another. After execution of the command, the new disks are assigned to the default pool.
After you run the storage scan on the first node, the following message is displayed:
[Info] Adding new disk into default pool operation executed successfully. Successfully added the disks into default pool
After you run the storage scan on the second node, the following message is displayed:
[Info] Adding new disk into default pool operation executed successfully. Free disk is not available
