Installation overview and ISO form factor

The installer of the NetBackup IT Analytics Exporter comes with the following OS-specific form factors:

  • For Linux: A script-based installer in ISO form factor and RPM.

  • For Windows: An .exe-based installer in ISO form factor.

High-level installation steps:

  1. Run the installer and review the terms and conditions before you agree to proceed.
  2. Enter the fully qualified domain name of the data collector server. In case you are reinstalling the exporter, the installer asks permission to overwrite the previously installed files on your system.
  3. Select the probes to install.
  4. Provide the Sender ID.
  5. Provide the Data Sender certificate location.
