Multi-language support and locale considerations (Linux)
Apart form English, you can perform the portal installation in Simplified Chinese, French, Korean, and Japanese. To install the portal in one of the supported languages, you need to first check if the system has multiple languages and then add the preferred language for the installation. Once you have set the language preference, the installation progress and responses appear in the preferred language. Note that this language preference setting is only confined to the installation process and has no impact on the text of the portal UI.
To check the current system language:
#locale
To check if your system has multiple languages:
#locale -a
To add a language, run the command # vi /etc/profile and go to the end of the file and add the language as follows:
To add Simplified Chinese:
export LANG=zh_CN.utf8 export LC_ALL=zh_CN.utf8
To add French:
export LANG=fr_FR.utf8 export LC_ALL=fr_FR.utf8
To add Korean
export LANG=ko_KR.utf8 export LC_ALL=ko_KR.utf8
To add Japanese
export LANG=ja_JP.utf8 export LC_ALL=ja_JP.utf8
Reboot the system to set your language preference for the portal installation.
Having completed the language settings, you can proceed with the installation of the NetBackup IT Analytics Portal.
