NetBackup SLP Status by Image Copy
Explore your data center using customizable report templates or by using parts of your IT infrastructure as entry points. Use Search to find reports, templates and dashboards across the portal.
Use the Reports tab to examine the catalog of templates, dashboards and reports - organized by products along with user-created, and system folders. This report is located here:
Backup Manager > Management Reports > NetBackup SLP Status
To get to this report, go to any NetBackup SLP report that displays the following hyperlinks: Oldest Unfinished Image, Copies Completed, Copies Not Completed, or Total Copies.

This report lists the Storage Lifecycle Policy (SLP) status for NetBackup jobs, from the Image Copy perspective.

Column name | Description |
---|---|
Primary Server |
This is where the SLP is located. Click the link to drill down to the SLP Status by SLP report. This column lists all the primary servers that have associated SLPs. An SLP may be on the origin primary server or on any of the destination primary servers (in the case of duplication to a remote primary. Click the link to view Host Details. |
SLP Name |
Name of the SLP that is configured on the primary server |
SLP Version |
Version that is associated with the specific SLP on the associated primary server. See NetBackup SLP Details . |
Data Classification |
This represents the value or importance of the data that has been backed up. |
Policy Name |
Policy that is associated with the SLP. |
Schedule Name |
Schedule that is associated with the NetBackup policy. |
Client Name |
Client name that is backed up by the SLP for the selected primary server. |
Image ID |
Image ID associated with the image. The image ID is unique for each image. |
Copy Job ID |
Job ID associated with the specific operation. |
Origin Primary Server |
Where the primary backup copy resides. This is the server that created the image. The SLP can run on the origin primary server or any of the destination primary servers (in the case of duplication to a remote primary). If duplication is to a remote primary server, the origin primary server and primary server where the SLP is currently running may be different. |
Operation |
The operation that is performed on an image copy for the specific SLP destination. Examples: Duplication, Backup, or Import. |
State |
Current status of the copy, such as Complete, Not Started, In Process, Deleted, or Paused. |
Destination |
Destination where a copy should reside as per the SLP definition. |
Expiration Time |
Date and time when the copy expires. |
Copy/Import Completion Time |
Date and time when the copy is completed. |
Lag Time |
This value, calculated as the SLP completion time minus the backup time, can be used to determine how much time is required to duplicate the primary copy to a particular destination for a specific SLP. It reflects how fast or slow duplications occur. This value is displayed in seconds. |
Completed Copy Size |
Aggregate size of all the completed copies in the database for the SLP and the specific SLP destination. This value is calculated as: (Completed Copy Count for the specific SLP) x (Size of backup copy for the specific SLP). |
