Installing the Virtual Business Services package using Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager
To upload the VRTSvbs package using Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager
Skip this section if you have installed or upgraded to VCS 7.3 or SFHA 7.3. VRTSvbs is automatically installed with these components.
Perform these steps if you installed an earlier supported version of VCS or SFHA. You must install the VRTSvbs package on each host of each cluster that you want to manage.
Note:
Before you install the VRTSvbs package on a managed host, ensure that the VRTSsfmh package version 6.0 or later is installed on the host. If VRTSsfmh package version 6.0 or later is not installed, installation of VRTSvbs package fails.
- Download the VRTSvbs package to a temporary directory on your computer from the following location:
The package is also available for download from Veritas FileConnect and Trialware.
- In the Home page on the Management Server console, click Settings.
- Do one of the following:
Click Upload Solutions.
Click Deployment, and then click Upload Solutions.
- In the Upload Solutions to Repository wizard panel, click Browse to select the VRTSvbs package that you want to upload.
You need to upload the VRTSvbs package for each platform that you want to deploy VBS on.
- Click Upload to upload the package to the repository.
- Click Close.
To install the VRTSvbs package using Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager
- In the Home page on the Management Server console, click Settings.
- Click Deployment.
- Expand Base Release to select the VRTSvbs package.
- Right-click the VRTSvbs package and click Install.
- In the Install -Download Add-on wizard panel, select a download option and click Next.
- In the Install Select hosts wizard panel, select the managed hosts on which you want to install the hot fix, package, or patch, and click Finish.
- In the Result panel, click OK
Note:
You cannot uninstall VRTSvbs package using Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager. Use native OS commands to uninstall the VRTSvbs package. On Windows systems, you can uninstall VRTSvbs also by using the
(Windows 2008 or later) or (Windows 2003) option from the Control Panel.
