Installing InfoScale in a KVM environment
To set up a guest in a kernel-based virtual machine (KVM) environment with InfoScale solutions after installing KVM:
Table: Tasks for installing InfoScale in the KVM guest
Task | Information |
---|---|
Set up the KVM host as needed. Create the KVM guests as needed. | See Creating and launching a kernel-based virtual machine (KVM) host. |
Install the appropriate InfoScale product on the required KVM guest virtual machines. | For InfoScale installation information, see the product installation guides. |
Configure SFHA on the required KVM guest virtual machines. | For InfoScale solutions configuration information, see the product installation guides. |
Configure resources as required for the KVM guest virtual machines. | See About KVM resources. |
The tasks above apply to the following configurations:
Dynamic Multi-Pathing in the guest
See Dynamic Multi-Pathing in the KVM guest virtualized machine.
Storage Foundation in the guest
Storage Foundation High Availability in the guest
Storage Foundation Cluster File System High Availability in the guest
See DMP in the KVM host and SFHA in the KVM guest virtual machine.
