About adding license keys
If you add other licenses at the end of a Windows primary server installation or if you add new licenses later, you do not need to failover to add these licenses to each node in the cluster. On Windows, you can also use the bpminlicense command. On UNIX/Linux servers, you can use the get_license command to add license keys without having to failover to each node. The inactive nodes when becomes active can use those licenses from a shared drive location: /var/global/licenses.
Some features and products (such as NetBackup Shared Storage Option) require the keys to also be installed on the media server.
