System requirements

The minimum hardware, software, and network port requirements for the gateway nodes are:

Hardware requirements

  • CPU - 4 core

  • RAM - 16GiB

  • Storage space - 50 GB

Network port requirements

  • Port number 443 on the firewall opened for outbound traffic to api-prod.isp.net

    insights.veritas.com

    and wsapi-prod.isp.net

    insights.veritas.com.

  • Port number 22 opened for outbound traffic to InfoScale cluster nodes from the gateway nodes.

To perform data replication to the target AWS InfoScale cluster using VVR, the VVR port numbers 4145, 8199, 8989 (TCP/UDP) should be open on the on-premises InfoScale cluster.

  • Port number 443 on the firewall opened for outbound traffic to api-prod.isp.net

    insights.veritas.com and wsapi-prod.isp.net

    insights.veritas.com.

  • Port number 22 opened for outbound traffic to InfoScale cluster nodes from the gateway nodes.

Software requirements

  • Operating system - RHEL version 7 or 8.

  • Python - version 3.8.

    Note:

    Python is required to be installed manually if the operating system is RHEL 7.

 
  • Operating system - RHEL version 8.4, 8.6, and 8.8.

    Additional dependencies get installed as a part of the gateway RPM installation. For this, internet access is required to pull the dependent software programs.
