Installing Postgres client utility

Note:

Postgres client utility recommended version is 14.3.

To install, run the following commands in the terminal:

  1. rpm -ivh postgresql14-libs-14.3-1PGDG.rhel7.x86_64.rpm
  2. rpm -ivh postgresql14-14.3-1PGDG.rhel7.x86_64.rpm

    Note:

    lz4 compression package and libicu are required by postgresql14-14.3-1PGDG.rhel8.x86_64.rpm on RHEL 8 and 9.

Ensure that the network settings like firewall, security group, and DNS configuration are configured appropriately to access databases within the cloud provider.
