EMC VPLEX Storage Volume Summary
Detail reports are related to a specific enterprise object, such as a backup job. You can only access detail reports through a link presented in the context of a main report, providing additional information that augments the main report. Detail reports cannot be generated, customized, or saved, as they are specific to the report from which they were derived. They are not available in search results.
Explore your data center using NetBackup IT Analytics customizable report templates or by using parts of your IT infrastructure as entry points. Use Search to find reports, templates and dashboards across the portal.
Use the Reports tab to examine the NetBackup IT Analytics catalog of templates, dashboards and reports - organized by products along with user-created, and system folders. The main report is located here:
This report lists the VPLEX Storage Volumes, which represent the storage that is connected to back-end ports. View the capacity metrics associated with the back-end storage, including the storage volume, number of extents, health and status, and the capacity served to the VPLEX appliance.
Table: EMC VPLEX Storage Volume Summary
Column name | Description |
---|---|
Cluster |
Name of the storage array. Links to the Array Capacity & Utilization report. |
Storage Volume |
The storage array name associated with the storage volume. |
VPD83 ID |
Name of the backend LUN. |
IO Status |
Indicates the I/O status of the storage volume. Possible values: alive = I/O is proceeding normally on the extent. dead = The underlying storage volume is marked as hardware-dead. unreachable = The underlying storage volume is unreachable. |
Operational Status |
Reason for the operational status, if the status is not OK. |
Type |
Indicates whether the storage volume has an associated storage volume header, and whether that header is stored on the storage volume or on a metadata volume. |
Health State |
Displays an overview of the extent health. Possible values: Degraded OK Non-recoverable-error Unknown Critical failure |
Vendor |
The vendor-specific name for the storage volume. |
Use |
Indicates how the system is currently using the storage volume. Possible values: Use claimed meta-data unclaimed unusable used |
Capacity |
The total number of bytes in the extent. This total represents the block size multiplied by the block count. |
# of Extents |
The number of extents in the storage volume. |
