Installing NetBackup for MariaDB Agent

To install the agent

  1. Download the NBMariaDBAgent_8.1.zip file.
  2. Extract the file that applies to your operating system:

    (Windows) NBMariaDBAgent_8.1_AMD64/

    (Linux RHEL) NBMariaDBAgent_8.1_linuxR_x86/

    (Linux SUSE) NBMariaDBAgent_8.1_linuxS_x86/

  3. Run the file that applies to your operating system

    (Windows) NBMariaDBAgent_8.1_AMD64/Setup.exe

    (Linux RHEL) NBMariaDBAgent_8.1_linuxR_x86/install

    (Linux SUSE) NBMariaDBAgent_8.1_linuxS_x86/install

  4. Type y to accept the VERITAS LICENSE AGREEMENT. The agent gets installed at the default location.

Note:

Ensure that the MariaDB agent and NetBackup are of same version for successful backup and restore operations.
