About upgrading the Management Server
You can upgrade your Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager Management Server installation to 9.0 only from version 8.0 or later. To upgrade, you have to download and install the required packages. You can upgrade Management Server on Linux and Windows hosts.
Note:
To upgrade to Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager 9.0 from versions before 7.4.2, you first need to upgrade to Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager version 8.0 then, you can upgrade to version 9.0.
From version 7.0 onwards, Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager supports 2048-bit certificates for communication between Management Server and the managed hosts. In case of an upgrade to Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager 7.0 or later, you need to migrate the Management server domain to 2048-bit certificates after you upgrade your Management Server.
- To upgrade from 7.3.1 HF2 (onwards) to 7.4 download the fix from SORT:
- Apply the fix on the Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager management server:
For Linux run the following command:
/opt/VRTSsfmcs/pgsql/bin/psql -p 5636 -d SFMdb3 habdbsync -f <Upgrade_from_7.3.1_to_7.4.sql file path>
For windows run the following command:
C:\Program Files\Veritas\VRTSsfmcs\pgsql\bin\psql -p 5636 -d SFMdb3 habdbsync -f <Upgrade_from_7.3.1_to_7.4.sql file path>
Note:
If the Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager Management Server is configured in an InfoScale high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configuration, or if the Management Server runs on the InfoScale CP server, then you must first upgrade the Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager Management Server to the latest version, including the latest available patches, and then upgrade the InfoScale version.
