Configuring the Management Server settings
You can perform the following tasks in the Server settings tab in Management Server:
Table: Management Server settings
Task | Description |
---|---|
Configuring SMTP settings | You can configure SMTP settings for Management Server to receive email notifications for alert rules or policy check scan completion, or to send a report by email. |
Configuring SNMP trap settings | You can configure SNMP trap for Management Server to receive notifications for alert rules. |
Configuring proxy settings | You can download the information on the patch and the price tiers for Storage Foundation and High Availability products from the Arctera Services and Operations Readiness Tools (SORT) website. If Management Server is not continuously connected to the Internet, you can set up an alternate proxy server that can access the website |
Configuring two-factor authentication | You can enable or disable the two-factor authentication (2FA) to protect user accounts from getting compromised. A combination of user's login credentials and a six-digit PIN is used for two-factor authentication. The users are authenticated to access the Management Console only on successful validation of the combination of user's login credentials and the PIN. Note: Only the root level users or the administrators can enable or disable the two-factor authentication. |
Analytics gathering settings | Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager provides statistical information such as the frequency of use of particular features or views of the Arctera InfoScale Operations Manager user interface in your organization to help analyze product usage. You can allow Arctera to analyze this data by enabling the analytics gathering feature on Management Server |
Data retention policy settings | You can set the period for retaining the alert and the task logs using the Database Retention Policy Settings. See Setting the period for retaining the alert and the task logs in the database. |
Web server settings | You can set the log levels, such as debug, info, or warning, for the log files using the Web Server setting. You can also set the user session timeout period time for the web server. |
Report subscription settings | You can create a report schedule so that the report is generated and shared with the subscribed users at the time and frequency that you specify. You can set the report schedule using Report run settings. |
Configure advanced authorization | You can configure the advanced authorization settings to prompt the user to enter a reason for performing an operation. |
View active users | You can view the details of all the active users that are logged in to Management Server in the Environment tab. |
