About Targeted Collections
You can create targeted collections in the Insight eDiscovery console. These collections are the cloned data of an archive collector that is configured in the Archive Administrator console.
The Insight eDiscovery reactive collector lets your organization collect content for eDiscovery purposes. After an administrator configures this collector for your organization, the content that matches the filter criteria can be collected in VAD
Before you create a targeted collection in Advanced Discovery console, ensure that, in Archive Administrator -
the customer is already created
the service for this collector is enabled for that customer
the Archive Collector is configured
After you create a targeted collection, ensure that the configuration status is
. If the configuration is incomplete, items cannot be sent to case. User cannot remove the previously selected and saved options.
