Pre- and post-backup scripts
If you use backup technologies that do not automatically set and clear backup mode, you can call Enterprise Vault's backup mode PowerShell cmdlets in pre-backup and post-backup scripts.

You can run these scripts manually, schedule them, or configure other backup tools to run them at appropriate times.
If you use trigger files in your environment, the post-backup script can also place a trigger file in backed up partitions. Note that some devices, such as those running Veritas FileStore, can automatically create trigger files for secured partitions.
