SYNOPSIS

UpgradeReadinessCheck

DESCRIPTION

Use this feature to enable, disable, or show the current status of the (AutoUpdate) option for the Appliance Upgrade Readiness Analyzer (analyzer tool). When the feature is enabled and a new analyzer tool version is available, the analyzer tool on the appliance is updated automatically. If an analyzer tool does not already exist on the appliance when you enable this feature, the latest version of the analyzer tool is downloaded automatically.

Enabling this feature lets you keep pre-upgrade checks up to date and receive accurate upgrade readiness status recommendations through System Health Insights on the NetInsights Console. You can download the latest version of the analyzer tool from the Veritas Download Center. Veritas recommends that you enable AutoUpdate.

The following describes operational notes for Call Home and for high availability (HA) setups.

Call Home
If you plan to enable AutoUpdate, you must also configure and enable Call Home on the appliance. Otherwise, the appliance cannot receive notifications and updates for the Appliance Upgrade Readiness Analyzer.
HA setups
When you enable or disable AutoUpdate on one HA node, you must also log in to the peer node and configure it the same to ensure a matched configuration on both nodes.

OPTIONS

AutoUpdate Enable

Use this option to automatically update the analyzer tool on the appliance.

If an analyzer tool does not already exist on the appliance when you enable this feature, the latest version of the analyzer tool is downloaded automatically.

AutoUpdate Disable: Use this option to prevent automatic updates to the analyzer tool on the appliance.

AutoUpdate Show: Use this option to view the current status of AutoUpdate.
