Making the DR environment consistent after a full catalog restore
In the event of a major incident at the production site, operate from the DR site for some time after the basic recovery is completed. The following additional tasks may be optionally carried out once the DR environment is operational to make the DR environment consistent.
To make the DR environment consistent
- If the catalog recovery is not performed immediately after the DR package recovery, to make the DR environment consistent, do the following:
- Modify the backup policies, including the catalog backup policy, to use the storage units available at the DR site and enable them.
- Delete the backup policies that are no longer required.
- Delete the storage units that are associated with the media servers and are not part of the DR environment.
- Modify any Storage Lifecycle Policies that use storage units that you have deleted.
