Configuring Snapshot Manager for Data Center

Before using the Snapshot Manager for Data Center to perform snapshot management operations, you need to configure the Snapshot Manager for Data Center component with NetBackup.

To configure the Snapshot Manager for Data Center in NetBackup, perform the following operations using Java UI.

  1. In the NetBackup Administration Console, in the left pane, click the Media and Device Management node.
  2. Click the Credentials node to see the Snapshot Managers option.
  3. Right-click Snapshot Managers, and select New Snapshot Managers.
  4. In the New Snapshot Manager dialog, enter hostname and port of Snapshot Manager to be added and click Validate Server to validate it.

    Note:

    The default port number for Snapshot Manager is 443.

  5. In the Credentials pane of the New Snapshot Manager dialog box, enter the username and password to access the Snapshot Manager for Data Center. Click OK.
