Data Collection Status Details
Explore your data center using customizable report templates or by using parts of your IT infrastructure as entry points. Use Search to find reports, templates and dashboards across the portal.
Use the Reports tab to examine the catalog of templates, dashboards and reports - organized by products along with user-created, and system folders. This report is located here:
The Data Collection Status Details report allows you to monitor the health and progress of data collection. Collection status, available at the data collector and policy level, provides a value for the last time collection was attempted. This report can provide essential details that enable you to diagnose collection issues. You can schedule/email/export this report plus set alerts for failures.

Column name | Description |
---|---|
Probe Name |
The name of a specific probe on the associated Data Collector policy. |
Device |
IP address or name of the host/server from which the data was collected. |
Collector Name |
The name of the Data Collector. |
Policy Name |
The type of system from which data is being collected, such as EMC VPLEX, Data Domain, or NetApp Cluster. The host name or IP address of the system that is the source of the data is appended to the product name, except for Host Resources collection. |
Run Type |
The type of collection run: or . |
Probe State |
Defines the state of the probe: queued, in progress, interrupted or canceled. |
Status |
The status of data collection: Success, Warning, Failure or No Status Available. Status is only displayed after the collection run has completed. Filter the report by all status, no status, a single status or multiple statuses with the scope selector. |
Start Date |
The date data collection started for the specific probe/collector combination. |
Finish Date |
The date data collection finished for the specific probe/collector combination. |
Duration |
The time span of the collection run. |
Schedule |
Indicates if the policy schedule is enabled or if it has been manually disabled. |
Policy Changed |
Indicates if the Data Collector policy has been modified since its creation date. |
