Adding the server-side certificate

Before you start to migrate data to the AWS C2S storage, make sure that the certificate that is provided by the certificate issuing authority is in the cacert.pem file in the Enterprise Vault installation folder. The certificate should be in PEM format. If the certificate file is in a different format, you can use the standard OpenSSL command-line tool to convert certificates to the PEM format. Refer to the OpenSSL documentation for more information.

To add the server-side certificate

Open the server certificate that you have received from the certificate issuing authority, and copy the contents of the file.
In Windows Explorer, browse to the Enterprise Vault program folder (typically C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault).
Open the cacert.pem file that is in the folder installpath\OST\x64, paste the copied content at the end of the file, and then save the file.
