Overview of troubleshooting the configuration of a Monitoring database
During the running of the Enterprise Vault Configuration wizard, a dialog may appear stating that the configuration of the Monitoring database has failed.
If you see this dialog when you add an Enterprise Vault server to a new Enterprise Vault Directory, use the Monitoring Configuration Utility to create the Monitoring database manually.
If you see this dialog when you add an Enterprise Vault server to a new site in an existing Enterprise Vault Directory, use the Monitoring Configuration Utility to update the Monitoring database manually.
Note:
Use the Monitoring Configuration Utility to create or update a Monitoring database only if the Enterprise Vault Configuration wizard fails to create or update the Monitoring database successfully.
