Copying OWA and Enterprise Vault files to the Exchange Server 2010 CAS

You need to copy the Exchange version folder, and the Enterprise Vault version folder, from the Exchange Server 2007 CAS to the Exchange Server 2010 CAS, as described in this section. The folders and all contents should be copied.

  • Copy the required Exchange version folder from the following location on the Exchange Server 2007 CAS:

    Exchange_server_path\ClientAccess\Owa

to the following folder on the Exchange Server 2010 CAS:

    Exchange_server_path\V14\ClientAccess\Owa

For example, if the Exchange version folder is 8.2.176.2, Figure: Copying the Exchange version folder shows the folder paths on Exchange Server 2007 and Exchange Server 2010.

If the Exchange version folder is not copied, then CAS proxying does not work, and the Exchange Server logs an event on the Exchange Server 2010 CAS.

  • Copy the required Enterprise Vault version folder from the following location on the Exchange Server 2007 CAS:

to the following folder on the Exchange Server 2010 CAS:

    Exchange_server_path\V14\ClientAccess\Owa\Enterprise Vault

For example, if the Enterprise Vault version folder is v9.0.0.1047, Figure: Copying the Enterprise Vault version folder shows the folder paths on Exchange Server 2007 and Exchange Server 2010.

If this is not copied, then CAS proxying works, but the Enterprise Vault Extensions do not function correctly. For example, icons are missing in the OWA client.
