NetBackup for FlashBackup

Licensing for FlashBackup is specific to the FlashBackup policy type for UNIX clients and FlashBackup-Windows policy type for Windows clients. This type of licensing collects the total number of Front-End Terabytes (FETBs) protected by NetBackup.

The following rules are applied to guarantee data size accuracy for FlashBackup:

  • For a FlashBackup-Windows policy type, size of the mounted Windows disk volume is used to gather size information.

  • For a FlashBackup policy type (UNIX clients), size of the raw disk partition is used to gather size information.
