Using the NetBackup support utility in NetBackup for OpenStack
The NetBackup support utility (nbsu) is a command line tool. It queries the host and gathers appropriate diagnostic information about NetBackup and the operating system.
You can use this utility to gather diagnostic information about the NBOSVM. It collects all the log files that are generated under the /var/log/
directory on NBOSVM and creates a .tgz
file. You can use this information to troubleshoot the issues.
To use the NetBackup support utility
- Log on to the NetBackup for OpenStack virtual machine.
- Change the directory to
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/support
. - Run the utility with NBOSVM role.
./nbsu -r nbosvm
A
.tgz
file is created, which contains all the logs available in the/var/log
directory.For example: NBSU_<hostname>_nbosvm_10092023_082422.tgz
