Creating an NFS share with episodic replication and encryption

You can create an NFS share with episodic replication and encryption.

To create an NFS share with episodic replication and encryption

  1. Prerequisites:

    Configure storage.

    Start the NFS server.

    Configure episodic replication.

    Configure KMS server.

    Activate an encryption policy.

  2. Quick Actions: Go to Provision Storage > Storage for NFS > With Episodic Replication and Encryption, and then click Next.
  3. Click the Configure Storage tab and specify the storage options.
  4. Click the Start NFS Server tab, and then click Start NFS Server to start the NFS server.
  5. Click Configure Replication > Go to Replication link to set up the replication virtual IP on the source cluster.

    Go to Settings > Replication management on destination cluster's GUI and set up the episodic replication virtual IP on the destination cluster.

  6. Click Set Up Replication Link.
  7. Click Configure KMS Server: Set up the KMS server if not done already by clicking on Go to Configure KMS.
  8. Click the Activate Encryption Policy tab, select a policy for the NFS share, and then click Activate Policy.
  9. Click the Provision Storage tab, enter the required details for shares and its options and then click on Provision Storage.

    Note:

    If a storage policy is not activated, you cannot provision storage for the NFS share.

  10. View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
