Marking the paths as mandatory for DLP Incident Remediation
Mandatory paths are the paths that are marked for the mandatory remedial action the custodian must take to resolve the incident. You can define which paths should be considered as mandatory and must be remediated by the custodian. Data Insight will persistently send email notifications until the mandatory paths are acted upon by the custodian.
Conversely, you can set the paths as non-mandatory to suppress the email reminders that are sent until the paths are remediated. Data Insight will not send any email notifications for the non-mandatory paths.
Notes:
All the paths are considered 'mandatory' by default until you mark them as non-mandatory.
The mandatory or non-mandatory configuration applied to any parent-level content source is inherited by all the child-level content sources. E.g. if a folder is marked as mandatory, all the files within are also marked as mandatory
You can set the paths as mandatory or non-mandatory from the Resource-Custodian Selection panel in the following two ways:

To view the mandatory paths configuration in the Resource-Custodian Selection panel, you need to add the 'Mandatory' column to the display.
Click the drop-down for any of the column headings and click Columns > Mandatory. The 'Mandatory' column is added to the view.
