Turning on the hardware and verifying operation
To turn on the appliance
- On the front, right, side of the appliance press the Power button.
- Verify that the bottom LED in all the four disk drive slots are green.
The following table provides details of the disk drive LEDs.

1-Status LED,

Off
Solid amber
Blinking amber
No fault
Disk fault
A RAID rebuild is in progress
2-Activity LED,
Bottom
Off
Solid green
Blinking green
Blinks green occasionally
Power is on and the disk has spun down
Power is on but there is no disk activity
Power is on and the disk is spinning up
Commands are being processed
- On the bottom, left, rear of the appliance verify that the LED on each power supply is green.
- Proceed to the next section to configure remote management.
