Changing the SDCS log retention settings on an Access Appliance node
By default, the Access Appliance Appliance stores each SDCS log entry for 30 days. You can adjust this retention period to any number of days. However, if disk space becomes a factor, you can choose to retain a set amount of log files (each log file is ~10.5 MB).
You can check the current SDCS log retention settings for the appliance at any time using the show sdcs-audit settings command.
To change the SDCS log retention settings
- Log on to the Access Appliance shell menu.
- To set the number of days in the retention period:
set sdcs-audit settings retention-period=days
where days is the specific number of days that you want the appliance to retain each log entry.
- To set the number of log files the appliance retains:
set sdcs-audit settings file-number=number
where number is the specific number of SDCS log files that you want the appliance to retain at any given time.
