About staging packages
The Stage page lets you stage packages on an appliance for an installation or upgrade that you might want to do later. This action uploads the selected packages to the selected appliances. Later, when installing an EEB or performing an upgrade on these appliances, the package download is skipped.
Each task of the workflow is listed at the top of the page. After you complete a task and move to the next one, the page refreshes with the details and the column headings that pertain to the next step.
The details and column headings for each task on the Stage page are as follows:
Confirm appliance selection
Selected appliances (n) The host name of each appliance and the total number of selected appliances.
Version The current software version on the selected appliance.
Select packages
File name The full name of each compatible package that resides in the repository.
Appliance The appliance type; NBA.
Package type The package type; EEB, Upgrade, Upgrade Readiness Analyzer.
File size The file size of each package.
Version The software version of each package.
Confirm and submit
Selected packages The file names of the selected packages.
Hostname The host name of each appliance and the total number of listed appliances.
Version The current software version of the appliance.
