No corrective action is taken for a faulted service group even when its name is provided in the ServiceGroupName attribute of the AppMonHB resource (4187908)
This issue occurs when a mix of application monitoring configurations done manually and using the ConfigAppMonHB
utility are present in a single-node cluster.
Workaround: None for the current mixed configuration.
You can proceed by updating the configuration in one of the following ways:
Option 1: Delete the manually configured service groups and add them using
ConfigAppMonHB
.Option 2: Delete the service groups configured using
ConfigAppMonHB
and add them manually.
If the service group faults again, the corrective action should now be triggered successfully.
Recommendation: Configure the service groups on the node either manually or using ConfigAppMonHB
, but not a combination of both. Corrective actions can be taken appropriately when configurations are done entirely manually or entirely using the utility. To avoid running into any such issues, Arctera recommends that you use ConfigAppMonHB
for all application monitoring configurations on a single-node cluster.
