Backup Exec Scores New Awards at the 2024 Network Computing Awards

Attended by leading IT professionals, the annual Network Computing Awards took place at The Radisson Blu, Edwardian Bloomsbury Street Hotel in London. Backup Exec, the simple, secure, and unified data protection product has been named a winner in multiple categories at the 2024 Network Computing Awards, including the highly coveted Product of the Year and the Storage Product of the Year. These wins are a remarkable testament to our product’s innovation, vision, and overall impact on the industry.

Winning the Product of the Year and Storage Product of the Year awards is an incredible honour for us. These awards validate the hard work, dedication, and innovation that our team has poured into Backup Exec over the past year.

• Product of the Year: This award is a clear indication of Backup Exec’s overall excellence and its significant impact on the small and mid-sized enterprise (SME) market. It highlights our commitment to delivering a top-tier product that meets the diverse needs of our global users.

• Storage Product of the Year: Being recognized in this category underscores Backup Exec’s commitment to delivering innovative, ground breaking storage capabilities to allow users to work with all types of storage, including disk, deduplication, network, and cloud storage, along with reducing data backup storage with its integrated data deduplication technology.

The Network Computing Awards

The Network Computing Awards have been run each year since 2007. They were set up to recognise the products, services and companies that were most impressive in helping organisations function better through running a more effective network. 

Unlike most Awards programs which use a Judge or Judging panel to decide the winners, the Network Computing Awards have always relied solely on an online nominating and voting model to determine the results. Readers of Network Computing, those responsible for buying, specifying and using network solutions for their organisations, have always played a very active role in this process. 

However, nominating and voting is open to all, both in the UK and internationally. Thus, solutions which are used and respected by large numbers of people have a chance to be recognised without having to rely on the preferences of a single Judge or a small judging panel.
