Backup Exec Simple-Subscription |
Backup Exec has introduced Subscription-based licensing with the aim to simplify and consolidate all licenses into a single edition that includes all features and adds the new Microsoft 365 feature. The subscription metering is instance-based. One instance is a virtual machine or physical machine or 10 Microsoft 365 users. The following licenses are introduced:

64-bit SQL Express Database |
Backup Exec now uses a 64-bit SQL Express 2017 instance to host its database. It helps to get increased performance and make optimum usage of a 64-bit server. |
