Perform the following steps to remove an MVG server configuration.
To remove an MVG server configuration
- On NetBackup, remove all the configuration of the corresponding storage unit, disk pool, and storage server with an MVG server.
- Delete the MVG volumes from the MVG server.
Note:
Do not delete the MVG volumes if you want to preserve the MVG data or want to reconfigure the MVG server by reusing the existing data.
- Stop the NetBackup services on the host.
bp.kill_all
- Delete the storage server data on the disk.
Run the following script.
/usr/openv/pdde/pdconfigure/scripts/installers/PDDE_deleteConfig.sh
Type y and press Enter.
The configuration file is restored to the original state.
Delete the data in the MSDP storage path and database path.
Note:
Do not perform this step if you want to preserve the MVG data or want to reconfigure the MVG server by reusing the existing data.
- Restart the NetBackup services on the host.
