Option

Description

SQL Server properties

The following SQL Server properties are available:

  • Host

    This list contains all of the SQL Server hosts in the network. Select a SQL Server host from the list or type a name.

  • Instance

    This list contains all of the SQL Server instances on the selected host. Select a SQL Server instance from the list or type a name.

    The keyword <default> shown in the Instance box designates the default SQL Server.

  • SQL Server version

    The version of the SQL instance that is selected in the Instance box. This item is updated when you click Apply.

  • Security

    The type of security that is used in the SQL instance selected (in Instance box). This item is updated when you click Apply.

  • Host type

    The host type: Local, remote, virtual, or unknown. This item is updated when you click Apply.

Userid and Password for SQL Server Standard or Mixed Security

If the SQL Server host uses standard or mixed security, provide the SQL Server user ID and password.

Provide the user ID and password for SQL, as follows:

  • Userid

    The user name that NetBackup for SQL Server uses to log into SQL Server.

  • Password and Reenter password

    Indicate the SQL Server password.
