Table: Troubleshooting the Analytics Connector
Problem | Further information |
---|---|
Errors reported in the Enterprise Vault event log | Errors related to the Analytic Connector are reported in the Enterprise Vault event log as storage or indexing errors. You can use DTrace to trace storage and indexing processes. DTrace is described in the Utilities guide. |
Items marked as failed in the index | The Storage Crawler process will attempt to retrieve the requested index properties for an item three times immediately. If this is unsuccessful, the process marks the item as failed in the index, and retries the item periodically until the poison-pill threshold is reached. After this, the Storage Crawler only retries the item after you have repaired the index using either the synchronize or rebuild option in the Manage Indexes wizard in the Enterprise Vault Administration Console. You can use the Manage Indexes wizard to rebuild all index volumes for an archive, or selected index volumes. |
Truncated item content in output files | The maximum amount of item content that can be included in an output file is 1 GB. This figure relates to the converted content of the item, not the original item size. The limit applies to the total converted content for the item, which could include one or more attachments. If the content exceeds the limit, it is truncated. |
Requested attachment index properties missing from output files | If you request an attachment index property, then you must also request the equivalent top-level item property. |
