VMware | Selects VMware as the policy type. See VMware backup host. |
Hyper-V | Selects Hyper-V as the policy type. Server Type: Designates the type of environment in which NetBackup searches for the VMs to back up.
Server Name: Enter the name of the Hyper-V server, cluster, or SCVMM server. The name may need to be fully qualified. Note: The SCVMM server (if any) and Hyper-V server must contain a NetBackup client. Note: To configure a policy for the WMI backup method, use the Policies utility. The WMI method is required for block-level incremental backup and Accelerator. These features enable faster backup of Hyper-V virtual machines on Windows Server 2016. |
