Using Red Hat Satellite server to install InfoScale products
You can use the Red Hat Satellite server to install InfoScale products on your system.
To use Red Hat Satellite server to install InfoScale products
- Set the base channel, child channel, and target system by following the Red Hat Satellite documentation. You need to ensure that:
The base channel consists of RPMs based on the supported Linux distributions.
The child channel consists of InfoScale RPMs or patches.
The target system is registered to the Red Hat Satellite.
- Log on to the Red Hat Satellite admin page. Select the Systems tab. Click on the target system.
- Select Alter Channel Subscriptions to alter the channel subscription of the target system.
- Select the channel which contains the repository of InfoScale.
- Enter the following command to check the YUM repository on the target system.
# yum repolist
- Enter the following command to install the InfoScale RPMs using YUM:
# yum install @ENTERPRISE90
- Enter the following command to generate the script of the installer:
# /opt/VRTS/install/bin/UXRT90/add_install_scripts
- Enter the following command to configure InfoScale using the installer:
# ./installer -configure
