Prerequisites for configuring Oracle
Ensure that you meet the following prerequisites before you configure Oracle.
If using iSCSI, verify that the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator is configured to establish a persistent connection between the NetApp filer and the cluster nodes. See the Microsoft documentation for instructions.
If using FC, verify that you install the NetApp FCP Attach Kit or Windows Host Utilities on all the cluster nodes. Refer to the NetApp documentation for more information.
Verify that the volumes or LUNs are created on the shared disk.
Verify that the volumes created for the Oracle database, control files, log files, bdump, cdump, udump files, flash recovery area, and archive location are mounted or connected on the node where you run the Oracle installer.
Create a temporary service group to configure an IP (in case of IPv4) or an IPv6 (in case of IPv6) resource.
