Problem

Virtual Machine backup job via Vcenter or ESXi fails with following error.

Error Message

0x200095bf - A failure occured while locking the virtual machine in place for backup/restore operations.
VDDK-Warn: VixDiskLibVim: Login failure. Callback error 30201 at 3580. 
V-79-8192-38335 - A failure occured while locking the virtual machine in place for backup/restore operations.

Cause

The issue is seen if SSL certificate of vCenter server is expired or due SHA type mismatch of SSL certificates.

Solution
