Problem
When attemping to perform a search in the End User Portal the user recieves Access Denied

When the same operation is attempted in the Legacy End User Portal it works as expected.
Error Message
The end user will recieve the following:
Access denied
You don't have permission to access the requested feature.

Switch to a different account.
Cause
This issue is due to a defect regarding permissions in the End User Portal in the affected version. This behavior has been verified in 2.15.1 and occurs when user is granted End-User Portal and End-User/Search permissions only.
Solution
There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in earlier versions of the software at the present time. However, the issue has been addressed in the revision of the product specified at the end of this article.

This issue has been fixed in 2.17.1.
