NetBackup Appliance Upgrade Readiness Analyzer
Abstract
Description
The NetBackup Appliance Upgrade Readiness Analyzer is a tool that determines whether a NetBackup appliance (NetBackup virtual appliance when applicable) is ready for an upgrade.
When you run this tool on an appliance, it checks several parameters and identifies the issues that can prevent a successful upgrade. This tool can remove any unnecessary or old packages, old logs, and expands specific partitions to the necessary size as needed. If the analysis fails, you must address all reported issues and run this tool again for verification. Only when the analysis result shows “The upgrade readiness analysis passed”, the appliance is ready for an upgrade.
This tool latest version supports upgrade readiness checks for the following NetBackup Appliance software version upgrades, and where applicable, for NetBackup Virtual Appliance software upgrades:
-
Version 3.1.2
