Issue(s) resolved

  • Data corruption is observed for a Hyper V and VMware Virtual Machine backup that has dynamic, GPT disk having EFI and boot volume configured together. (100050298)
  • Fixed an issue where after an upgrade or patch update rolls back unable to open the Backup Exec console. “Windows cannot access the specified device path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item".
  • Fixed an issue where the VFF Virtfile Driver does not rollback after an installation rollback.
  • Fixed an issue that initiated a Backup Exec 21.2 Patch update rollback if logged on as a non-BESA (Backup Exec Service Account) user during patch update. 
  • Fixed an issue with Backup Exec repair installation error "Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow".
  • Google Cloud backups V-79-8192-1037 Backup to Google Cloud Storage fails with error "0x2000040d - S_TF_NO_TAPE_PRESENT". (100049830)
  • Unable to detect IBM COS cloud buckets after configuring "Compatible-with-S3"
  • AWS Storage Tier "Property is not getting set for Glacier & Deep-Archive".
  • Tape devices offline on a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows 2012 Backup Exec Server after updating to 21.2 (100021683)
  • Backup Exec Server service terminates unexpectedly on Non-English Operating system after installing Backup Exec 21.2.
  • After upgrading to Backup Exec 21.2 scheduled jobs run but are no longer displayed under “Job History".
  • After upgrading to Backup Exec 21.2 E-Mail Notifications are no longer received.

Prerequisites

  • Administrative privileges are required to install this Feature Pack. 
  • Backup Exec 21.0 or 21.1
  • Execute the Installation or patch update logged on as the Backup Exec Service Account or a member of the Administrator group with rights to the SQL instance.

 

Post requisites

  • A full backup is recommended after installing this Feature Pack.
  • Remote Agent for Windows Servers will need to be updated after installing this Feature Pack.
  • Remote Agent for Linux/Unix Servers (RALUS/RAMS) will need to be updated after installing this Feature Pack.  
  • Update SDR media.
  • Veritas recommends to reboot the system(s) after applying a Hotfix or Feature Pack.
