Latest BIOS Version: 01.01.0027 | Certified Date: 11/01/2018
Apply latest BIOS Image or re-flash appliance BIOS Package using the attached Binary and Manual Flash Upgrade Document. Document was originally written for v01.01.00.15 however, it can be used to apply the latest version, too.
Please Note:
You may see a parsing error the first time you go to upgrade the appliance's BIOS. This is a known bug in the Intel Flashupdt software package and we are still waiting on a fix from Intel. A temporary workaround for this is to reboot the appliance to re-attempt the flash upgrade.
Build 15 of Intel's One Firmware Update (OFU) Package must be used (attached) otherwise the user may see a kernel panic as indicated and reported on eTrack # 3969991

Implement POA steps provided by Gavin King with support:
POA (important files needed S2600WT_SFUP_BIOS01010027VERITAS_ME030103050_BMC015311210_AUTOFRUSDR117_EWS-VERITAS8 + flashupdt-V14.0-B15.i386.rpm)
1. Confirm the flashupdt version installed (rpm -qa | grep -i flashupdt)
2. If flashupdt version is not version 15 (flashupdt-V14.0-B15.i386.rpm), then uninstall the old version (example: rpm -e flashupdt-V14.1-B14.i386)
3. Install OFU v14.0 Build 15 (rpm -ivh flashupdt-V14.0-B15.i386) if step 2 had to be executed
4. Extract the contents of the zipped file (unzip filenamehere) then re-flash 5240 appliance BIOS [Please note to initiate the flash, all you have to do is run “flashupdt -u flashupdt.cfg” to update the BIOS from the directory where the package was extracted]
5. After BIOS successfully updated, verify using "dmidecode -s bios-version"
6. Generate a new datacollect after about 30 minutes and upload to the support case for review.
