Support for Proximity Search operators

Starting with release 14.3, the ability to run a Proximity Search using operators such as – NEAR, BEFORE, NOTWITHIN - from Discovery Accelerator has been added. Existing hotwords sets are queried as BEFORE operator, reducing the size of query and increasing the search performance in Veritas Accelerator Supervision.

Client Access Provisioning Task enhancement

The “Log On” tab has been added to the Client Access Provisioning task in the Vault Administration Console (VAC). This functionality adds support for native and cross-domain users.

Support for SharePoint 2019

Enterprise Vault now supports SharePoint 2019 Classic UI and Modern UI.

Role Based Access (RBA) enhancements

Limiting the use of Vault Service Account (VSA): Sharing the VSA password with other users is not required for the majority of Enterprise Vault administration tasks. You can now select if you want Enterprise Vault to not prompt for the VSA password.
Dedicated role for RBA administration: New RBA role 'RBAC Cmdlets Administrator' has been added to delegate all RBA administration-related activities to other users. Active Directory users, groups, or built-in security principals that are added to this role and VSA can manage the permissions and the roles.

PowerShell cmdlet for creating new archives

This release introduced a PowerShell cmdlet for creating new archives. For details, refer to the Enterprise Vault PowerShell Cmdlets guide.

Support for AWS PrivateLink

Enterprise Vault can now communicate with AWS S3 via AWS PrivateLink without exposing traffic to the public internet.

Note: This support is added only for the Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) primary partition. In the case of secondary migration, the Enterprise Vault administrator can use the S3 generic “Simple Storage Service (S3) API” migrator.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) support for Enterprise Vault Search (Desktop) application

Starting with version 14.3, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is supported for Enterprise Vault Search (Desktop) site using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0 compliant Identity Providers (IdPs) such as Okta and Azure.

Ability to configure the Microsoft Teams importer service account with a user account other than the Vault Service account

Before Enterprise Vault 14.3, you could configure the Teams importer service account only with the Vault Service account (VSA). From version 14.3 onwards, you can configure the Teams importer service account with a user account other than the VSA.

Support for Microsoft Teams target monitoring in SCOM

Starting with Enterprise Vault 14.3, Teams targets are monitored by System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). You can determine the state of the Enterprise Vault Teams archiving and other targets from the SCOM console and take corrective action.

Microsoft Teams archiving performance improvements

The Teams archiving task performance has been significantly enhanced in Enterprise Vault 14.3. Compared to earlier versions, the archiving time required by the Teams Archiving Task has now been reduced to approximately 50%.

Support for Google Cloud Storage as Primary Storage(S3)

Enterprise Vault now supports Google Cloud Storage (S3) as primary storage, letting you store primary archived data in the Google public cloud.

Discovery Accelerator enhancements to include journal envelope while exporting SMTP journal emails

You can now include journal envelope information along with the original email while exporting SMTP journal emails. This ability enables you to export the 'Bcc' information, which you can use for an advanced discovery.

Email sensitivity

Email sensitivity has been enhanced and any user who has access to a mailbox other than the mailbox owner cannot view messages tagged with Private labels by default.

Store identifier

Enterprise Vault now supports up to 2048 characters for the length of object identifiers written to streamer devices.

Indexing enhancements

• Support has been added for wildcard characters that exceed 128 characters.
• Support has been added for storage management software like Microsoft Windows Storage Spaces and Veritas InfoScale to manage an ever-expanding single storage location for the Enterprise Vault indexes.

Simplified audit entries

Schedule changes in the Enterprise Vault Administration Console now get audited in human-readable formats as opposed to encrypted formats.

Updated version of the Veritas Information Classifier

Enterprise Vault 14.3 comes with an updated version of the Veritas Information Classifier engine 4.0.0, providing transparent patterns, new and enhanced Information Classifier policies, and other enhancements and defect fixes.

Base and upgrade installers

Click Base and upgrade installers to view the files associated with this product version. Check the box next to each file that you wish to download, then click Download. The Download button will appear once you check the first file. After you click Download, you may be prompted to select a Veritas Entitlement Management System (VEMS) account. If you are asked to select a VEMS account, select the account that you wish to be the account of record for your download transaction.

To download files in the Base and upgrade installers section:

• You must have a Veritas account. If you do not have a Veritas account, you can create one by clicking Sign in at the top of the page and then clicking Create one.
• Your Veritas account ID (email address) must be registered as a user of a VEMS account that holds an entitlement for the product with an Entitled Version (displayed in VEMS) that is greater than or equal to this product';s'; version.
• Your Veritas account ID must have either the VEMS Administrator or Download Software privilege.
• You must log in with this Veritas account. To log in, click Sign in.

Note: You may not be entitled to download all files listed as some Veritas product offerings entitle different file sets. For example, some product offerings vary by platform (Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.). In these cases you will only be able to download files for the platforms entitled by your VEMS entitlements.

To view which products and versions you are entitled to download, log into VEMS by clicking Licensing on Support home page. Once logged in, click Entitlements at the top of the page. Locate the entitlements for this product and verify that the Entitled Version for at least one entitlement for the product is greater than or equal to the version of the product you want to download. You will not be able to download the product if the version of the product you want to download is greater than the Entitled Version of all of the entitlements for the product.

The Download Center records all download transactions. After you click Download, you may be prompted to select a Veritas Entitlement Management System (VEMS) account. Select the VEMS account you wish to be the account of record for your download transaction.

Updates

Click Updates to view all software updates associated with this version of the product. Click the Update name to view the full details of the update and to download its files. Check the box next to each file that you wish to download, then click Download. The Download button will appear once you check the first file.

To download files in the Updates section:

• You must have a Veritas account. If you do not have a Veritas account, you can create one by clicking Sign in at the top of the page and then clicking Create one.
• You must log in with this Veritas account. To log in, click Sign in.
• Some updates require that you purchased a maintenance contract and that your contract was active at the time the update was release. If so, your Veritas account ID (email address) will need to be a registered user of a Veritas Entitlement Management System (VEMS) account that holds an entitlement for one of the product releases listed in the update's' Applies to the following releases section.
• If you are not a registered user of any VEMS accounts that entitles the download, you will be prompted to enter an Entitlement Code. Enter either a VEMS entitlement ID or appliance serial number. If the Entitlement Code can be matched to a VEMS entitlement that can entitle the download, you will be able to download the update. VEMS entitlement IDs and the appliance serial numbers can be found on on your Veritas Certificate or can be provided by registered VEMS user.

The Download Center records all download transactions. After you click Download, you may be prompted to select a VEMS account. Select the VEMS account you wish to be the account of record for your download transaction.
