Support for Microsoft Office updates
eDiscovery Platform allows customers to apply Microsoft Office updates as per their organizational requirements on the eDiscovery Platform servers.

End-to-end modern browser support
Release 10.0 supports modern browsers, such as Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge (Chromium) for enhanced security.

Any version of Internet Explorer is no longer supported.

Browser Agnostic Native Viewer
In release 10.0. eDiscovery Platform replaces the IGC Native Viewer with HTML5-compliant PrizmDoc Viewer.

This has resulted in faster displaying of documents, on average 87% faster than version 9.5.

Now, most documents load in less than 2 seconds. Additionally, it does not need the installation of any custom components, such as ActiveX plug-in.

Faster document load times and document to document navigation allows for higher review efficiency.

SAML 2.0 based authentication with trusted Identity Provider
eDiscovery Platform integrates with any Identity Management provider, such as Okta or Microsoft Authenticator, that supports Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0.

Enabling multi-factor authentication increases security, so only verified individuals can access business critical data.

FIPS 140-2 compliance
eDiscovery Platform release 10.0 is Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 standards compliant and meets the security requirements

for cryptographic modules.

IPv6 third-party certification
eDiscovery Platform has been certified by an independent third-party, InterOperability Laboratory, to be IPv6 compliant.

Global Privacy and Classification
Release 10.0 supports a newer version of Veritas Information Classifier 2.3.0, which provides the following enhancements:

• Classification policies for Personal and Sensitive Data Detection - New and expanded policies for Russia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, South Africa,

            Argentina, Ukraine and Thailand

• Further ability to detect personal data for GDPR and other data privacy regulations.
• Ransomware Note Policy - A new policy to detect ransomware note.
• Detects ransom notes/demands/instructions from ransomware malware.
• COVID-19 Policies - Six new policies to detect coronavirus related content. Classify data based on the keywords related to COVID-19, Symptoms, and Diagnosis.

           This data can be used to respond to FOIA or RTI requests.

Support for Global Activity Reports
eDiscovery Platform provides a support feature that enables users to generate the Global Activity Report either for a specific case or for all cases.

Users can select the time zones in which the last activity time should be reported, and generate reports based on the activity type.

Case Status Report
Release 10.0 provides a way to generate a case status report that helps understand which case is active based on when the last search or processing was done.

Administrators can configure the number of inactive days using the esa.support.caseactivityreport.threshold.days property.

The default value for this property is set as 30 days. It helps administrators archive inactive cases and reclaim license capacity.

Updated version of the Veritas Quick Assist
eDiscovery Platform 9.5.2 and 10.0 comes with an updated version of the Veritas Quick Assist, 2.4.163.279.
Veritas Quick Assist (VQA) diagnostic tool provides the following value when troubleshooting in your environment.

• Auto-detection of issues (self-help)
• Optimized data collection
• Create/update cases with evidence

Enhancements in application security
With release 10.0, the maximum value of the “Minimum password length” setting has been increased to 40 characters.

With this, users can set a long password for enhanced security.

This release also enhances application security by providing improved server and application logs.

Legal Hold
 

SAML 2.0 based authentication for Legal Hold
Starting with release 10.0, eDiscovery Platform supports a new way for enterprise single sign-on (SSO) authentication with SAML 2.0 compliant Identity Provider (IdP).

Identification and Collections
 

Support for collection from Office® 365 Exchange and OneDrive
eDiscovery Platform provides a brand new user interface to collect 365® 365 Exchange and OneDrive.

The implementation utilizes Microsoft Graph APIs with OAuth2 authentication. The collection from Office 365® also supports federated collection

with rich server-side filtering capabilities.This has improved the reliability and performance of the eDiscovery Platform data collection from Office® 365.

eDiscovery Platform continues support for data collection from the legacy Office® 365 and SharePoint, where MAPI/HTTP is used to connect to Office® 365,

but this will be ended with the next major release so customers are recommended to transition to the new collector. Sometime in second half of 2021,

Microsoft will stop accepting incoming connections to Office® 365 that do not follow the oAuth2 authentication protocol.

EML to MSG conversion for Enterprise Vault collection
eDiscovery Platform converts the EML files that are collected from all Enterprise Vault archives, such as Exchange, SMTP, and IMAP into MSG files that are stored in PST files.

This results in faster collection and processing of data from Enterprise Vault and enhanced usability in dealing with a PST file instead of individual loose EML files.

Case Administration
 

Enhancements in Production Folder Settings
In Release 10.0, while setting up production folders, an administrator can configure the font family to specify header/footer text and watermark text for a

specific case or all cases (system-level).

Import and export of redaction set using CSV
eDiscovery Platform provisions to create redaction reason set by uploading a CSV. It saves time and reduces potential mistakes. Existing redaction sets can

also be exported to CSV for future use.

New Native Images Tag
In release 10.0, a new Clearwell Pre-Native Imaged tag has been introduced to indicate the items that are converted using PrizmDoc.

Additional configuration options
Release 10.0 provisions administrators to control several settings for redactions and review, as listed below:

• Control the default redaction style, opaque or translucent, for redaction view mode.
• Configure the maximum number of characters allowed in each preset reason code of a redaction set.
• Configure the number of retries for bulk redaction jobs
• Configure the default view review mode on the Document Review Screen.

Analysis and Review
 

Enhancements in Imaging related operations
Release 10.0 replaces the IGC Native Viewer with PrizmDoc Viewer, which introduced several enhancements in review, redaction, annotation, and other imaging-related operations.
These changes have also created the need to do an in-place upgrade and do post-upgrade related work to ensure redactions from versions prior to Release 10.0 are retained going forward. Please read the Image Tool Upgrade Guide carefully to understand all the workflows impacted.

These enhancements include:

• Performance Increase – With the use of PrizmDoc Viewer, a significant performance improvement has been observed in eDiscovery Platform Review & Analysis operations - 87% faster document load and navigation to next item, 50% faster caching, 62% faster production lock, and higher number of concurrent reviewers. Slight performance degradation has been observed on production/export to PDF depending on the number of terms and documents redacted.
• Multiple reasons for one redaction - eDiscovery Platform now supports multiple reasons for one redaction. These reasons can be applied with a right-click or can be persisted for all redactions. Choosing one or more reasons allows for trackability because each reason can be separately searched for in Advance Search.
• Quick access menu - Quick access menu automatically shows up as soon a redaction is applied. A reviewer can choose one or more redaction reasons or add a comment to the redaction. Right-click on a redaction or annotation also brings up the menu. Being able to choose the reason code where the redaction is accelerates the review workflow and saves time.
• Comment on Redactions - Reviewers can comment and reply to other’s comment within the new native viewer. These comments cannot be searched or exported but are visible next to each item. Increased communication reduces mistakes and helps keep reviewers and management on the same page.

• Full Screen review - Maximize the amount of screen of a document by going full screen. Tagging and Related Items panel are available to the reviewer in full screen mode.

            Less scrolling is done by the reviewer because more of the document can be seen. This reduces the time spent on review.

• Auto-cache - If documents are not cached, the next 5 items are automatically cached in the background when the first item is loaded by a reviewer. This makes review faster as documents load faster.
• Download/Print a single redacted document - Download or print a single document with opaque or transparent redactions. It allows for flexibility when focusing on a smaller set of documents that need to be sent for internal review.
• Bulk redact sensitive data & Regular Expressions – Personally identifiable information (PII), such as US phone number, email, US social security number, US postal code, and date can be redacted from documents in bulk with one or more reason codes and a color associated with each redaction. User-specified text (old) or REGEX patterns can also be redacted in bulk. It reduces time spent by an individual reviewer on redaction so they can focus on making coding decisions. Existing privacy info patterns can be changed, and new patterns can be added to the Redact Privacy Info list. Refer to the System Administration Guide for more information.
• Configurable review mode: Default review view has been changed to Native View from Text View to reduce the number of steps for review. This can be changed back to Text View as a default using a configurable property.                                                                            Refer to the Case Administration Guide for more information.

Production

Enhancements in Production Export and Production folder
Release 10.0 introduces several enhancements in managing production folders, such as:

• Allows to set multiline header/footer for free text values. User can add up to 3 lines of headers and footers.
• Added Include Markup Types option for selectively burning either Redactions or Annotations, or both. Redactions option will be selected by default.
• Made Transparent Redactions option visible by default, so that redactions can be burned in transparent mode.
• Default image format for production and export has been changed to PDF from TIFF.

Optional workflow for export locations
For environments where customers are using remote location to store items from Export/Production run, an optional workflow has been introduced which

helps in making the Export/Production feature more reliable in situation when network fluctuations are being observed in the environment.

An administrator can make configurations so that the Scratch folder is used as the temporary location to store the collection of all items that are required to be exported/produced.

At the end of export/production, these items will be moved together to the user-specified remote location.

Base and upgrade installers

Click Base and upgrade installers to view the files associated with this product version. Check the box next to each file that you wish to download, then click Download. The Download button will appear once you check the first file. After you click Download, you may be prompted to select a Veritas Entitlement Management System (VEMS) account. If you are asked to select a VEMS account, select the account that you wish to be the account of record for your download transaction.

To download files in the Base and upgrade installers section:

• You must have a Veritas account. If you do not have a Veritas account, you can create one by clicking Sign in at the top of the page and then clicking Create one.
• Your Veritas account ID (email address) must be registered as a user of a VEMS account that holds an entitlement for the product with an Entitled Version (displayed in VEMS) that is greater than or equal to this product';s'; version.
• Your Veritas account ID must have either the VEMS Administrator or Download Software privilege.
• You must log in with this Veritas account. To log in, click Sign in.

Note: You may not be entitled to download all files listed as some Veritas product offerings entitle different file sets. For example, some product offerings vary by platform (Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.). In these cases you will only be able to download files for the platforms entitled by your VEMS entitlements.

To view which products and versions you are entitled to download, log into VEMS by clicking Licensing on Support home page. Once logged in, click Entitlements at the top of the page. Locate the entitlements for this product and verify that the Entitled Version for at least one entitlement for the product is greater than or equal to the version of the product you want to download. You will not be able to download the product if the version of the product you want to download is greater than the Entitled Version of all of the entitlements for the product.

The Download Center records all download transactions. After you click Download, you may be prompted to select a Veritas Entitlement Management System (VEMS) account. Select the VEMS account you wish to be the account of record for your download transaction.

Updates

Click Updates to view all software updates associated with this version of the product. Click the Update name to view the full details of the update and to download its files. Check the box next to each file that you wish to download, then click Download. The Download button will appear once you check the first file.

To download files in the Updates section:

• You must have a Veritas account. If you do not have a Veritas account, you can create one by clicking Sign in at the top of the page and then clicking Create one.
• You must log in with this Veritas account. To log in, click Sign in.
• Some updates require that you purchased a maintenance contract and that your contract was active at the time the update was release. If so, your Veritas account ID (email address) will need to be a registered user of a Veritas Entitlement Management System (VEMS) account that holds an entitlement for one of the product releases listed in the update's' Applies to the following releases section.
• If you are not a registered user of any VEMS accounts that entitles the download, you will be prompted to enter an Entitlement Code. Enter either a VEMS entitlement ID or appliance serial number. If the Entitlement Code can be matched to a VEMS entitlement that can entitle the download, you will be able to download the update. VEMS entitlement IDs and the appliance serial numbers can be found on on your Veritas Certificate or can be provided by registered VEMS user.

The Download Center records all download transactions. After you click Download, you may be prompted to select a VEMS account. Select the VEMS account you wish to be the account of record for your download transaction.
