About the agent for Oracle ASM

The Cluster Server agent suite for Oracle provides high availability agents for the Oracle databases that use Automatic Storage Management (ASM). The agents for Oracle ASM monitor the Oracle ASM instance and ASM disk groups.

The VCS Enterprise Agent package also contains the following agents for Oracle ASM:

  • The ASMInst agent monitors the Oracle ASM instance.

  • The ASMDG agent monitors the Oracle ASM disk groups.
